CCICP Launches Groundbreaking Intimacy Guidance for Stoma Patients

Date: 25 February 2025

The Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) have produced important new resources to support stoma patients with intimacy and sexual wellbeing.

Recognising a significant gap in available resources, Specialist Nurse Kyle Waring and the CCICP Stoma Service have developed patient-centred guidance to help individuals navigate changes in intimacy after stoma surgery. These inclusive resources cater to a diverse range of patients, including those from LGBTQIA+ communities, ensuring that all individuals receive the support they need.

The materials are freely accessible and aim to support stoma wearers worldwide in their journey toward restoring intimacy and confidence. Patients and healthcare professionals can find these resources here: https://www.mcht.nhs.uk/patients-and-visitors/patient-leaflets/navigate/6178/6428#document-library-6428
