Angie Perrin Represents Stoma Care at ACPGBI Advanced Coloproctology Course 2025

Angie Perrin of the ASCN UK was honoured to be part of the expert faculty at the ACPGBI Advanced Coloproctology Course 2025. The course is renowned for its high-quality, professionally produced educational content, designed to provide clinical updates for colorectal and general surgeons at all levels, including revision for surgical residents sitting the FRCS examination.

As part of the course, Angie highlighted the vital role of stoma care specialist nurses, focusing on the importance of siting and discussing stoma formation using positive terminology by all health care professionals. Her part underscored the significance of collaborative communication and how positive language can enhance patient experiences and outcomes.

The course covered a wide range of topics relevant to colorectal and general surgeons, from emergency surgery and perioperative care to the abdominal wall. It also provided valuable CPD points across multiple areas of practice.
