ASCN UK Stoma Care Nurse of the Year 2025

The ASCN UK is delighted to announce that nominations have now opened for the Philip Salt Award – ASCN UK Stoma Care Nurse of the Year.

Do you know an outstanding Stoma Care Nurse who has excelled in the last 12 months and deserves to be honoured by their colleagues? If they have raised the profile of their specialism, made a significant contribution to stoma care, enhanced patient experience, advocated for patient issues, or demonstrated innovation in service delivery, follow the steps below to nominate them for the Philip Salt Award:

1. Fill out the nomination form: https://ascnuk.org/stoma-care-nurse-of-the-year/ 
2. Include a summary of up to 500 words advising the committee on why you think this person should be chosen and how they have fulfilled the criteria stated here
3. Provide evidence in all 4 categories: Leadership, Clinical, Research and Education
4. Then attach any additional information as supportive evidence to your nomination

The announcement of the winner and presentation of the award will be made at ASCNUK25 this October.

Nomination deadline: Friday 19th September 2025.
