Paediatric

Salts Healthcare with Birmingham City University and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Children’s Stoma Care & Continence Management (20 Credits / Level 6 & 7)

Entry requirements:

  • LBR7463 Exploring Children’s Stoma Care and Continence Management (20 Credits / Level 7 / Masters)
  • LBR6511 Fundamentals of Children’s Stoma Care and Continence Management (20 Credits / Level 6 / Degree)
  • Level 6 applicants must be post graduate nurses working and have regular access to children with a stoma
  • Level 7 applicants must be post graduate nurses working and have regular access to children with a stoma; applicants must have attained a degree at 2:2 level or above. Students with a 2:2 will be required to complete 500 words critique of a relevant article.

Course Requirements:

  • A portfolio of practice based learning including reflection and critical analysis – equivalent to 3000 words.

Level 6 Adult

Salts Healthcare with De Montfort University, Leicester.

PCPH 3020 principles and practice of stoma care (30 Credits / Level 6 / Degree)

Completion of module is by:

  • Attendance at the study days
  • Presentation to peers
  • 4000 word assignment

Applicants must be post graduate nurses studying to degree level

Hollister and Dansac Education (20 academic credits)

Virtual course over 5 days course run twice a year

Completion of the module is by:

  • Exam is 10/15 minute PowerPoint or Poster presentation,
  • supported by an academic manuscript

Delegates are invited to attend.

The Royal Marsden School – Principles of Colorectal Cancer Care (new module)

The Royal Marsden School has a new degree-level module in Principles of Colorectal Cancer Care, which is enrolling now for September.

  • 20 credits at level 6 or 7
  • Online learning
  • Starts 23 September 2026

This module provides a meaningful development opportunity for those working with People Affected by Cancer. It will provide clear, practice‑focused insight into current evidence, policy, and clinical approaches across the cancer pathway. Learners will build their skills in decision‑making, risk assessment, and therapeutic planning to support compassionate, effective care across the colorectal cancer pathway. With an emphasis on real‑world application and multidisciplinary working, it will help clinicians enhance both patient experience and service quality.
