IA Welcomes Emma Greenwood

IA is delighted to welcome Emma Greenwood, their new Stoma and Pouch Care Specialist Nurse.
Emma’s impressive background in nursing started over 25 years ago and brings with her advanced specialist expertise in stoma and pouch care, holding a Level 7 qualification in Stoma Care (‘Advanced Principles and Practice of Stoma Care’).
Emma was the recipient of the Pat Black Award in 2025, a prestigious recognition of her contribution to stoma care through an exceptional article published in the British Journal of Nursing. She also leads the national working group developing a national elective stoma care pathway as part of the ASCN UK Advancing Stoma Care Services project.
Emma is highly proficient in service development, clinical governance and in her own words, ‘motivated to improve the quality of life for people living with an ileostomy or internal pouch through compassionate, evidence-based care.’
Emma is a valued addition to the team at IA, and they look forward to working with her to further strengthen the professional support and services they offer to people living with an ileostomy or internal pouch.
