ASCNUK26 Raffle for A Bear Named Buttony
Date: 19 October 2026
We are delighted to share that our raffle at ASCNUK26 for A Bear Named Buttony raised £331. Thank you to everyone who joined us in supporting the charity.
On the funds raised, Jenny Gow, Founder of A Bear Named Buttony, said: “A Bear Named Buttony is very grateful for the support received from this year’s ASCN UK raffle. As a small volunteer led charity, we rely on donations to be able to continue our work.
The money received from the raffle will be used towards our young adult projects which we promoted at this year’s ASCN UK Conference. There was great interest in both of our young adult packs, the washbag filled with helpful non-medical items and our book pack which we launched in 2025. Both of these are gifted to young people up to the age of 25 so are suitable for adult stoma teams throughout the UK. If any teams have not yet been in touch with us to request packs, please do drop Jenny an email at info@buttonybear.org.uk
Thank you to everyone who supported the ASCN UK raffle and who visited the Buttony stand, it was a great conference once again. We very much look forward to seeing you in Telford in 2027.”
