EHS Parastomal Study Days 2027

The EHS Parastomal Study Days will take place on 2-3 March 2027.

We have been made aware of an excellent educational opportunity for Specialist Stoma Care Nurses to attend a European Hernia Society (EHS) event in Lyon, March 2027. This event brings together patients, stoma care specialists, and surgeons to advance knowledge and collaboration in parastomal hernia care. With a focus on the latest surgical techniques, practical advice, and shared experiences, the shared aim is to improve outcomes and enhance the quality of care.

EHS Parastomal Study Days 2027: Please take a look at the link, included in this event are nurse observer places within the surgical skills day on the 22nd – an opportunity to see first-hand surgical skills and techniques including the session ‘how to form the prefect stoma’.

This education event will be of enormous benefit and will enhance your clinical practice and understanding, application for funding through your usual sources would be expected, although we would like to remind you of the Jean Preston Fund at the ASCN if additional funding is required- we would be happy to consider your application for funding support.

Not to mention, ASCN UK Chair Natasha Rolls will also be speaking at this event. More details to follow soon.
